Belgium is an affluent and multicultural country in the centre of Europe. It has a strong and longstanding trading relationship with the UK and is our eighth largest trading partner. UK exports to Belgium was £26.5 billion in 2024.

Belgium enjoys a key position in the European and international economy. As one of the six founding states of the European Union and home to many international organisations, Belgium has always been a prosperous marketplace, in business with countries from all over the world.

Belgium enjoys one of the highest per capita incomes in the region, an extremely well-educated workforce and widely distributed purchasing power among its resident.

About the Trade Mission
