The digital revolution and the leap to a green, carbon neutral economy are particularly important for Poland as these so-called “twin transitions” are profoundly connected in the country. To achieve the transformation of its energy system, still reliant on fossil fuels, Poland will need to invest significantly in innovation, so that it can decarbonise successfully and fairly, embrace renewables, imagine and adopt energy efficiency solutions for our way of life. This is where they are looking to collaborate with Scottish companies.
We are holding our first outbound in person mission to Warsaw on 21st-23rd March 23.
With over 100 international flights a day, Warsaw is a popular choice for business and acts as Poland’s main hub for national and international travel.
The mission will focus on the following sectors:
• Renewable energy
• Electro mobility or hydrogen sectors
• Circular economy
• Green technology
• Green innovation and education
• Smart cities
• Producer companies who focus on sustainability and net zero
As part of this mission, we will be working with Polish Investment & Trade Agency to deliver this trade visit. Businesses will be invited to take part in a number of briefings in market, as well as at least two B2B meetings with Polish businesses, based on your business requirements and with the support from our partner in-market.
The application deadline is Thursday 5th January 23. Please note that there will be a restriction on the number of spaces available.
We will cover all the costs of the missions including b2b meetings and networking and site visits. The cost delegates will need to cover are as flights, accommodation and food (likely in the region of £500-£600). To apply email international@edinburghchamber.co.uk and the team will share the application form. If chosen for this mission then delegates will also be charged a non-refundable registration fee of £50.
